It all began in 1920 in the historic city of Multan (now in Pakistan), where a vision for quality education took root. A small but determined institution, originally known as Multan DAV Senior Secondary School, was shaping young minds with dedication and purpose. However, the course of history changed everything.

During the Partition of India in 1947, the school, like many others, faced immense challenges. With resilience and a commitment to education, the institution was relocated to Patel Nagar, Delhi. Under the leadership of its first principal, Sh. Atma Parkash Batra, a man of great wisdom and determination, the school found new ground and continued its mission. What was once a craft school in Multan soon transformed into a Senior Secondary School, adapting to the changing educational landscape.

By 1950, the school came under the guidance of the Multan DAV Society, which played a crucial role in its administration and development. Decades later, in 1984, a new chapter began when the school merged with the DAV College Committee, further strengthening its academic foundation.

Through the years, each principal has carried forward the school’s vision, ensuring steady progress. In its early days, Science, Commerce, and Arts streams were all part of the curriculum. However, over time, certain changes led to the school focusing primarily on Arts and Commerce while still upholding its tradition of excellence.

Today, PGDAV Senior Secondary School stands as a well-established institution with 33 spacious classrooms, providing a comfortable and effective learning environment.
